Forgiveness in the New Year

You know one of the great ways to let our light shine as Christians in this new year is to forgive other people. But it’s hard to forgive others if you don’t, number 1, believe that God has forgiven you of all your sins.
The Bible says in John 1: 29 that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. In Matthew 26: 28 Jesus referred to his blood as being the blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. And in Hebrews 9: 28 it says that Jesus was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people.
Jesus came and died for the sins of all humanity. When that happened God stopped counting men’s sins against them (2 Corinthians 5: 19). And when we believed we received that forgiveness of God into our lives (Colossians 2: 13). And now we are blessed because God will never count our sins against us.
Do you know the forgiveness of sins in your life? If you do, as you do, you begin a great journey of empowerment to forgive yourself and forgive others and to let your light shine; changing your life, impacting our culture, and changing the atmosphere all around us.
So forgive others, and let your let shine today and everyday.
