Welcome to the Light of the World Christian Church website!

LOTW is a church made up of people from many different backgrounds---Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, Assemblies of God, etc.---coming together to form one body of people whose purpose is to free and equip people to be the light of the world. Certainly Jesus was the Light of the World, but he also said that "you (his followers) are the light of the world."

Everything we do is focused on training, equipping, healing, and freeing people to fulfill this purpose and destiny for their lives---to be the light of the world. In every part of your world…your home, your job, your neighborhood and community, and your church, God has called you to be light. Our vision is to help you achieve that purpose.

So enjoy the website, see what we're all about, and be encouraged! God is not through with you yet.

He is for you, not against you, and the best is yet to come! If you have a church home, be faithful there, but if you're looking for a church home come be with us this Sunday morning at 10:00 for Worship and The Message. While you are hearing the Word of God for your life, your children will be hearing the Word of God for their lives as well. We hope to see you this Sunday! Listed below are some of the things that capsulize our basic beliefs! 

WE BELIEVE:

• that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
• that through scripture, God declares His design and plan for all mankind.
• in one true God, three persons of the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• that Jesus was both human and divine.
• that everyone is a sinner but they can have a relationship with God through the gift of salvation - Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin.
• In the building of people more than the building of buildings.
• In the fruit of the spirit and the gifts of the spirit. the gifts are very important, but Jesus said, "by their fruit you will know them."
• That every person in the Body of Christ is an integral part and that as we unite together and work together we can see the glory of God fill our lives and our world and change us all into the image of Christ Jesus.
• Whether you are unsure of your relationship with God, a new Christian, or a Christian who has been worshiping for many years, our desire is to help you grow in your spiritual knowledge and to encourage you in your walk with Christ.
